Riverside Hotel, Bar & Restaurant, The
970-725-3689It is our intent to make you extremely comfortable with excellent food, good drink and a sound night's sleep, all the while enjoying the unique history of our building, the majesty of the Colorado River, and the legend of Hot Sulphur Springs. The Riverside Hotel was built in 1903; the year the town was incorporated. The Riverside's 15 minutes of fame came on The Tonight Show when Janet Leigh (in Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO), discussed her stay at the hotel in 1962 and virtues of a Hot Sulphur Soak with Johnny Carson. John Lennon stay here on August 25, 1964, before a Beatles concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Imagine that! The 16 unique guest rooms are elegantly decorated to invoke a feeling of authentic western charm. Many of the original furnishings and fixtures are still intact, making you feel that you've stepped back into the quaint elegance of a turn-of-the-century Colorado boom town. Much of the original structure is still intact. The Hotel is home to The River Room, one of the most elegant restaurants in Grand County. White linen, beautiful music and a spectacular view of the Colorado River are made all the better by the exquisite American cuisine. The Jayhawk Bar is a step back in time, serving top-shelf spirits, micro-brews, ales and fine wines. The bar is an authentic 1895 "Brunswick Bar", an ornate, carved wooden masterpiece. The Paradise Family, welcomes you. 509 Grand Avenue, Hot Sulphur Springs Colorado 80451; 970-725-3589.
